著名的香港四徑超級挑戰不單是越野跑界的盛事，甚至拍成電影亦相當叫座。雖然有相當多人對這挑戰甚有興趣，但主辦方對參加者的資格有相當嚴格的限制，本屆只有26位精英選手獲邀參加，其他人士只能觀戰了。
