The most difficult barrier to cross when cycling around the island is determination and perseverance. In fact, as long as they have the heart, everyone can go around the island by bicycle. Maybe you are still thinking about how to complete a special journey. The bicycle tour around the island is your best choice. The whole tour will be 11 days, and we will take you to ride 945 kilometers of "Round the island - Line 1".


"Round the Island - Line 1" is a cycling route around the island in Taiwan, which was opened to traffic on December 30, 2015. This journey will ride a counterclockwise, riding 90 to 125 kilometers a day for 9 days.


On this journey, you will experience a bicycle tour around Taiwan, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Taiwan, and enjoy a different Taiwan.


Along the way, we passed the sunset in the high and beautiful wetlands in Taichung, and reached the southernmost part of Taiwan through the Yunjia South Plain in the west. Then go to Taitung Bay and walk north to enjoy the scenery of the Pacific Ocean along the way. Finally, before returning to Taipei, I will stay in Xishan Hot Spring and soak in the hot spring to relieve fatigue for days. With the route, arrange local delicacies, so that the taste also leaves memories of the trip.

  4. Before riding a bicycle, be sure to check the brake condition and tire pressure, and adjust the cushion to the appropriate height.
  5. Wear safety helmets correctly, abide by traffic rules, do not run red lights, do not grab yellow lights, do not compete with cars and pedestrians, and do not race with each other.
  6. Keep a safe distance when riding a bicycle. Do not gather side by side, avoid the wind, follow the car and push and pull each other.
  7. Look at all sides and hear in all directions (don't wear headphones in both ears), raise alertness at any time, and prevent crises caused by the negligence of others.
  8. Make good use of the transmission, maintain the appropriate pedaling speed, and do not step heavily or empty to avoid muscle trauma and accidents.
  9. You must slow down on a downhill. It is recommended that the speed should be within 30 km/h, so that you can adapt smoothly in case of a situation.
  10. Brakes must be used with both hands at the same time, and avoid only braking the front or rear wheels to prevent overturning or tailing.
  11. Remember to slow down before turning downhill, pay attention to balance skills when cornering, and put your right foot up when turning right, and put your left foot up when turning left.
  12. There are often scattered sand and stones on the right side of the left turn and the construction section, which is very easy to cause vehicles to get out of control. You must pass carefully.
  13. Passing through the difference in height of the road surface and rails, water pipes, wires, branches, etc., be sure to pass vertically to prevent slipping out of control.
  14. You should choose rain gear carefully when riding a bicycle in the wind and rain. If the raincoat is too large, it is easy to cause wind resistance (you need to add a waistband). If it is too small, it will affect the flexibility of exercise.
  15. Don't ride on the slippery road on the marking line and manhole cover that is not easy to brake. Be careful to pass through the damaged, stagnant water and gravel road surface, and do not turn and meander.
  16. Do not wear sunglasses when crossing the tunnel or in rainy weather, so as not to reduce the visibility of the eyes.
  17. Do not stop or overtake at the corner. When overtaking, please overtake from the left side of the car in front of you. Do not rush to avoid collision.
  18. Warm-up exercises before cycling can stretch muscles and bones to avoid sports injuries; stretching and relaxation exercises after cycling can promote metabolism, eliminate lactic acid, and eliminate soreness.
  19. Replenish a small amount of water many times during riding, and do not drink too many sports drinks. After riding, you should drink plenty of water to help eliminate lactic acid.
