1. Background of the activity

The Tengri Wild Sand 58 Desert Cross-country Race is a three-day endurance race designed for adventurers who love challenges and explore nature and desert culture. The activity aims to challenge the limits, promote the concept of environmental protection, and promote cultural exchanges in desert areas.


2. Activity time

  • Date: September 11 to September 16, 2026
  • Duration: 6 days

3. Activity location

Location: Tengri Desert, China (located in the southwest of Alashan Zuoqi, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China)

4. Competition content and rules

4.1 Competition group

  • Individual group:
    • Divided into men's group and women's group.
    • Age group classification:
      • 18 to 29 years old
      • 30 to 49 years old
      • Over 50 years old
  • Team group:
    • There are 4 people in each team, regardless of gender and age.
    • The team's score is calculated according to the score of the last team member reaching the terminal of the sub-station in 3 days.

4.2 Competition rules

  • Competition form:
    • The competition will be held in three days, and the results of each stage will be calculated cumulatively.。
    • The next day's competition section will set up a tent rest station, and each participant will be required to rest for 5 minutes (at the same time, the conference will provide blood oxygen machine to test the contestants, and the blood oxygen content will take about 2 minutes)
  • Score scoring method:
    • Each player will get the corresponding points according to the arrival time after completing the daily schedule.
    • The total score is based on the points of three days, and the one with the highest score wins.
  • Team group:
    • The total score of the team is calculated by the time when the last person arrives at the end of the sub-station.
    • The team requires all members to complete the schedule, otherwise they cannot participate in the overall ranking.

Hotel and camp tents

The hotel defaults to two people in one room, and the camp tent defaults to two people in one camp. If you need to change to a single room or a single tent, please add the single room/tent option when registering.


5. Challenge the characteristics

5.1 Desert Marathon Challenge

  • Personal challenge: test the endurance, speed and willpower of the contestants.
  • Teamwork: Teams need to coordinate their pace and complete challenges together.

6. Safety and logistics support

  • Supply station:
    • Each section of the track is equipped with a fixed-point water supply station (generally within 3 to 5 kilometres, drinking water is provided for replenishment), energy food and emergency medical services.
  • Positioning and rescue:
    • All participants need to install the outdoor assistant app to monitor their location in real time.
    • There are flags marked with numbers every 500 metres on the track.
    • There are rescue vehicles and medical teams on standby for the whole track.
  • Compulsory equipment inspection:
    • Equipment checks are required before the competition every day. Participants need to prepare: whistles, sports watches, sand-proof shoe covers, sunscreen, goggles, emergency thermal felt, mobile power supplies, Internet-accessible smartphones, no less than 1 litre of drinking water and energy food.
  • Suggested equipment:
    • Sunscreen wide-brimmed hat, thin ragged, sand-proof shoe cover, lip balm。
  • Take away your own garbage:
    • Do not abandon any personal belongings/garbage in the desert on the way. If found, you will be fined extra time (add 10 minutes for each piece of garbage/item)

7. Award setting

7.1 Individual group

  • Each age group (men, women) is set:
    • Champion: Trophy + Sponsorship Gift
    • First Run -up: Trophy + Sponsorship Gift
    • Third place: trophy + sponsorship gift

7.2 Team group

  • The top three teams in total will get:
    • Champion: Trophy + Sponsorship Gift
    • First Run -up: Trophy + Sponsorship Gift
    • Third place: trophy + sponsorship gift

8. The meaning of the activity

  • Challenge the limit: provide the contestants with the opportunity to break through the physical and psychological limits.
  • Environmental protection education: arouse society's attention to the environment through taking away your own garbage and desert protection activities.
  • Cultural exchange: show the unique charm of local Mongolian culture and promote ethnic cultural exchanges.

This "Tengri Desert Challenge" will be a desert adventure that combines challenging, interesting and cultural experience, leaving unforgettable memories for the contestants!

9. Entry fee

Individual entry fee: $12800 (register before January 31, 2026 to enjoy the early bird discount of $11800 / person)

Team participation fee: $12650 (registration before January 31, 2026 can enjoy an early bird discount of $11650 / person)


The price includes

  • Shenzhen round-trip economy ticket to Yinchuan Airport.
  • 5 consecutive nights of accommodation (3 nights in a 4-star hotel and two nights in the camp tent, the hotel is calculated as one room for two people, and the tent is calculated as one camp for two people)
