Introduction


The Sapporo Marathon began in 1976. It is the largest citizen half marathon for citizens in northern Japan and a representative sporting event in Sapporo. Held annually in autumn, it attracts up to 15,000 participants.

Both the half-marathon and 10 km marathon are distances recognized by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF).

The half-marathon starts at Makomanai Park, with the turnaround point at Odori Park in the city center.

Both half-marathon and 10km run along the Toyohira River on the return route, with the finish line at Makomanai Park (same place as starting point).

Ordering process

  • When making a reservation, please be sure to fill in the guest's name in both Chinese and English, as well as relevant information (the information must be the same as the passport information) to avoid affecting your registration rights.
  • A deposit of HKD 3,000 per person is required upon reservation.
  • Entry confirmation will be made via WhatsApp or phone within seven business days of registration, followed by the final payment within the next seven business days.
  • Please check the appendix in the itinerary information 5-7 days before check-in. The latest itinerary information will be updated there. The relevant event details will be subject to the final itinerary information.
  • Please bring your original travel document (passport) for check-in and event registration confirmation.
  • If two people are staying together, please fill in the second person's passport name (in both Chinese and English), travel document number, travel document expiry date, and date of birth in the remarks column.

Fee Description

The itinerary includes the following contents

  • Entry to the 2026 Sapporo Marathon.
  • Selected Hotel Susukino Granbell (breakfast included).
    • 2-night itinerary: Check-in on March 10th, Check-out on May 10th
    • 4-night itinerary: Check-in on February 10th, check-out on June 10th
  • Any other program arrangements, participation gifts, etc., will be subject to the final announcement by the organizing committee.

Excluding fees

  • Round-trip airfare is not included.
  • Personal passport application fees, some meal expenses, other activity facility usage fees, personal expenses and transportation costs (such as: beverages and alcohol, laundry, telephone, telegram, and personal transportation costs, etc.).
  • *It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance on your own.

Cancel the regulations

    Hotel to and from the event venue

    From the Susukino GranBell Hotel, walk approximately 7 minutes (350 meters) to Susukino Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line. Head towards Makomanai Station (8 stops, approximately 15 minutes). From there, take a shuttle bus to the venue (one-way fare: Adults ¥240, Children ¥120; fare is for reference only). The journey takes approximately 10 minutes under normal traffic conditions, but it is recommended that participants take the shuttle bus early. For the return trip, take the shuttle bus to Makomanai Station towards Aso (8 stops, arrive at Susukino Station), and walk back to the hotel. Application materials preparation

  • Participants are requested to provide the following information for registration:
    • Participant's name, nationality, date of birth, gender, and passport number (information must match the passport);
    • Passport copy;
    • Email address and contact number;
    • Registration Project;
    • Emergency contact person's name, phone number, and relationship to the participant;
    • Clothing size.
  • Please carefully assess your own abilities when registering. Once the application is submitted, it means that the participant confirms and agrees to accept all the rules, terms and arrangements of the event.
  • The gender and personal information of participants as determined by the organizers shall be based on valid passport documents.
  • Duplicate applications will be counted as a single application; additional application fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other applicants or other events. Submitted application materials will not be returned.
  • On-site and late registrations are not accepted.
