Introduction

Whenever you want to run, you just simply put on your running shoes and go. But for blind people, running is not as simple as you do. They need a guide runner to go with them. Whenever you feel like joining an overseas marathon, you have plenty of choices. However, running in an overseas race is hardly affordable to the Kenyan runners who have been training hard in the training camp for years. Join us to participate in "Fearless Dragon Blindfold Ultramarathon 200km", a unique running experience in which you will challenge yourself and support disabled runners. Together we can make things possible! Let’s Run2gather Challenge yourself while giving support to others! Fearless Dragon Blindfold Ultramarathon 200km is meaningful in a way that it lets you:

  • Simulate a blind runner and inspires you to rethink how much you can “see” and you can “do”
  • bring joyful running experience to visually impaired people
  • run together with like-minded runners to complete 200 km blindfolded, a record-making challenge!
  • Experience the real power of a world-class professional runner by running with Lukas, the Kenyan champion marathoner side by side to challenge yourself and enhance your resonation in inclusion to the next level!

Grab the chance to run with world-class marathoner side by side – challenge with a Kenyan champion:

Without travelling aboard you can run with Kenyan professional marathoner Lukas in blind-fold for 1 lap. Your support will directly benefit a group of young athletes who have been training in long-distance running in Kenya for years. Its objective is to facilitate the active participation of persons with a disability in the community, and nurture a culture that promotes diversity, inclusiveness and altruistic behaviours. The HKNPIS has set up Fearless Dragon Running Team which mainly consists of blind persons and deaf persons ( the pronunciation of “Fearless Dragon” in Cantonese sounds like “blind and deaf”). The running team is active in promoting inclusiveness and participation of charitable events. The team has developed a cycling team and a trailwalk team, all based on the concept of sports rehabilitation which is aimed to enhance the body mind fitness and confidence of the members and encourage members to contribute to the society through charity. The training and participation in races of the Fearless Dragon teams are funded by public donations
