As the saying goes, "a year's plan starts in spring," and what better way to start the new year than with invigorating exercise, meaningful activities, and aspirations for a better life! The highly participated Orbis Walk for Sight is returning this April, so gather your family and join us for this cherished event where you can immerse yourselves in the beauty of nature and create unforgettable parent-child memories under the azure skies. Choose from two hiking challenges: the leisurely 6-kilometer Family Trail or the 10-kilometer Hiking Trail. After the walk, get ready for the highlight of the event - a vibrant carnival that will delight children of all ages. With over ten different types of game booths, both adults and kids are guaranteed a day of fun and excitement with unforgettable memories.

Location: Start and end point at Tai Tam Hong Kong International School
Route: 6-km Family Trail
Suitable for all ages and strollers
Path conditions: Entire route paved with concrete, some sections with gentle inclines
Walking time: Approximately 90 minutes

10 km Hiking Trail
Suitable for long-distance hikers
Path conditions: Entire route paved with concrete, later sections with steep slopes

Vibrant carnival: After completing the walk, you can enjoy a picnic on the green grass. Sandwiches and beverages will be provided. There will also be stage performances, blindfold experiences and special games.
Shuttle bus service: Morning session (8am to 8:45am): From Pier 8 Central to Hong Kong International School
Afternoon session (12pm to 3pm): From Hong Kong International School to Pier 8 Central
*According to instructions of the Hong Kong International School, pets are prohibited from entering the campus area.

  • I/We agree to comply with all relevant rules and regulations and other arrangements made by the organizer. And I shall take part in the Event entirely at my own risks and I shall not hold the organizer, any sponsors and/ or supporting organizations responsible for any accidents of whatever kind, resulting from death or injury, and / or for any damage or loss or destruction of personal properties during the Event.
  • I/We understand that it is my/our responsibility to properly receive and keep the electronic admission passes to be used as entry permission. Electronic or printed admission passes that get lost, damaged or illegally altered will be voided, and no reissuance will be arranged by Orbis.

Registration Remarks

  1. Participants must successfully pay the enrolment fee before 5pm on March 22, 2023, to confirm their participations.
  2. Once enrolment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email notification. Please check your inbox and spam/junk folder. All information cannot be modified, and confirmed enrolments and payments are non-refundable and non-cancelable.
  3. Orbis will issue electronic admission passes (including Event details) to individual participants/family participants/team leaders between March 25-28, 2024. Participants/team leaders are required to present the electronic admission passes on-site to collect Event materials. If you have not received the electronic admission passes by April 2, 2024, please call Orbis before noon on April 3, 2024, for alternative arrangements; otherwise, it will be considered an automatic withdrawal from the Event. No reissuance of electronic admission passes, or on-site enrolment will be available on the Event day.
  4. Participants are responsible for properly receiving and keeping the electronic admission passes. No other proof of enrolment or documents will be accepted for entry permission. Electronic or printed admission passes that get lost, damaged or illegally altered will be voided, and no reissuance will be arranged.
  5. Donation receipts will be emailed to participants in batches by May 31, 2024. Please check the "FAQ" uploaded on the official website of "Obis Walk for Sight" for details.
  6. Should the Event be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Orbis or in the case of a Force Majeure resulting in the Event cancelled, no refund will be made. Orbis shall have no other responsibilities and/or liabilities in relation to the cancellation of the Event. (Force Majeure includes and is not limited to Orbis being unable to perform its obligations or organize or hold the Event due to fire, flood, earthquake, or other severe natural disaster or act of God; or due to protest, riot, civil disobedience, uprising, march, revolt, assembly, demonstration, occupation, commotion, mass gathering, war, insurrection, sabotage, pandemic, epidemic, or terrorist attack or the likelihood of such event or act. A reduction of the approved quota by the Hong Kong SAR Government which is more stringent than those already approved by the Hong Kong SAR Government shall be deemed to be a Force Majeure.)
  7. Participants are prohibited from committing or attempting to commit any act that is in violation of the laws of HKSAR and the National Security Law governing HKSAR, and carry out or attempt to carry out any kind of demonstration or political, religious, or racial propaganda at the Event or other venues or areas relating to the Event.
  8. Participants understand and authorise Orbis and cooperating bodies to publicly broadcast, edit, transmit or use photos, videos (including portraits and voices) or any records or derivative works of the Event related to the participants, for any legitimate uses in organising and promoting this Event through any media.
  9. Orbis reserves the right to determine participants eligibility and make final decisions regarding event arrangements.
