Registration conditions

  1. Cross-country running competitions not only require athletes to have excellent endurance, explosive power and cardiopulmonary function, but also need to have the skills and experience to run on rugged tracks. And need to face a variety of different challenges and difficulties, such as steep ascents, slippery descents, etc. Therefore, athletes need to have a high level of technical skills and coping abilities. Therefore, participants should be in good health and have the basis for regular running exercises or training. Participants should be clear and understand their own risks during the competition. They should undergo a physical examination at a qualified and formal medical institution, and evaluate their physical condition based on the physical examination report to confirm whether they can participate in the cross-country running competition. Participants should choose an event that suits them and register for the competition based on their physical condition and training level.
    Participants should be in good health and have no history of high blood pressure, heart disease, or other diseases that would prevent strenuous exercise, such as:
    1. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;
    2. Hypertension and cerebrovascular disease;
    3. Myocarditis and other heart diseases;
    4. Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;
    5. Diabetes with too high or too low blood sugar;
    6. Those who have had a cold within two weeks before the competition day;
    7. Those who drank a lot of hard alcohol or lacked sleep the night before the game;
    8. Pregnant women;
    9. Other diseases that are not suitable for exercise.
Statement : Competitors are the first person responsible for personal health and safety. Please carefully evaluate your true health status and participate safely. Self-examination: During the registration stage, the organizing committee does not require players to submit personal physical examination reports. It is recommended that players conduct self-examination to ensure that all indicators are normal and adhere to the principle of healthy participation.

Eligibility

  1. Registration qualifications for players in all event categories: Participants must be in good health and suitable for exercise. Before registration, please go to a qualified physical examination institution for a physical examination (no paper report is required for registration). Only those who meet the fitness indicators for running can register.
  2. Note: Cross-country running events require participants to be in good health and have corresponding levels of participation experience in order to complete the event. Participants must make clear self-judgements when registering and choose the participating group according to their own status and ability.

Competitor registration and representatives voluntarily and without objection assume full responsibility for the authenticity of their qualifications. The competition organizing committee will not review the players' physical examination reports.

Mandatory equipment

During the event, the following designated equipment must be carried at all times. For the safety of each racer, the organizer will randomly check equipment on the day of the event. If a racer fails to provide it, the conference has the right to require the racer not to continue the race until the designated equipment is replaced:
  • smart phone
  • Water bag or water bottle with a capacity of not less than 1 liter
  • bib number
  • Moderate amount of cash/Macau Pass
  • Portable tableware (for SP supply stations)
  • First aid supplies and a survival blanket

Any participant who violates the rules will be punished or disqualified. Equipment will be always checked during the competition and if any items are lost, participants will be penalized or even disqualified.
Entrants are advised to read the Contest Rules and Requirements in detail to ensure compliance with all regulations and to understand any specific rules and penalties.

Special Note

  1. In response to environmental protection, all supply stations/hot food spots on the track do not provide any disposable paper cups and bowls and chopsticks. Please bring your own water supplies, portable bowls and chopsticks and other tableware;
  2. The iTRA points for the event are currently in application status and are estimated points. The final result shall be subject to ITRA’s evaluation and approval;
  3. The event requires all contestants to follow the principles of environmental protection. If personal garbage is discarded on the track at will, fellow contestants can keep videos and photos as evidence, and the highest penalty will be followed, and the event results will be cancelled;

Regarding disqualification:

To register for the competition, you must provide true and valid relevant information. If a player is found to have forged or cheated when registering, his qualifications will be disqualified and the registration fee will not be refunded. All safety issues that occur during the competition will be borne by the player himself.

Regarding cancellation of registration

After successful payment, contestants who are unable to participate due to personal reasons must explain the reasons to the organizing committee via email. After verification and confirmation by the organizing committee, they will be processed in accordance with the following regulations: Those who apply to withdraw before November 1, 2023 will be refunded. 70% of the registration fee; no refunds for any reason will be accepted on and after November 1, 2023. Players need to send an email to trailman100macao@gmail.com in the format of "group + name + phone number + registration cancellation" to apply.

Event results description

The organizer will provide individual finishing times and male and female categories to each racer who completes the designated event within the specified time limit and wears a valid bib number. The winning racer will be notified by the organizer of the prize collection arrangements. Prize collection will be arranged on or after the competition day. Details will be announced on the competition day.

Event rewards

  1. Prizes will be awarded to the top fifteen men and the top ten women in the category [event trophies and sponsor prizes];
  2. All registered participants will receive a competition T-shirt [competition uniform];
  3. All finishers can receive a [finishing medal] for the corresponding category of the event;
  4. All finishers will receive an [e-certificate of completion];

3. Collection process:
  1. The contestant’s original valid ID or online valid electronic certificate (ID card, passport, blue card, travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macau, etc.) must be collected at the collection site and cannot be collected on behalf of others.

【Kind tips】
  1. Players are required to bring their original valid ID or valid online electronic certificate before collecting their belongings, and bring all the mandatory equipment to avoid wasting your precious time;
  2. Players who are unable to come to the site to collect the competition package can contact the event organizing committee by phone or email within one week after the game to express the competition package, and the costs incurred will be borne by the players themselves.

Competition rules:

All participants must read the following terms and agree to be bound by all amendments when registering for the competition.

General rules

  1. Participants must walk or run the entire distance independently.
  2. Contestants should be largely self-sufficient in materials except those provided by the conference and must carry all necessary items designated by the conference at all times during the competition.
  3. Participants can only receive assistance from their own support teams at checkpoints. No support will be provided outside of checkpoints except in emergencies. However, this does not apply to participants purchasing drinks/food from shops, restaurants, vendors, and vending machines along the route.
  4. It is strictly prohibited to accompany runners or support runners. To avoid misunderstandings, no non-competitors are allowed to accompany participants during race sections.
  5. Food and drinks provided at the checkpoint are only for contestants to enjoy.
  6. The entry number must be always placed on the front of the shirt and clearly visible.
  7. If participants withdraw from the competition, they must notify the person in charge of the nearest checkpoint and sign the withdrawal form (unless assisted by medical personnel during the competition).
  8. If a runner needs rescue assistance during the race, he should call the phone number listed on the bib number to contact the organizer, and the organizer's staff will try their best to search for the runner.
  9. Competitors should follow the marked track and are strictly prohibited from taking shortcuts. Competitors found to be in violation will be disqualified.
  10. During the competition, participants must always carry all mandatory equipment, and the organizer may conduct random equipment inspections. Competitors with insufficient equipment may be subject to additional timing or even disqualification, depending on the severity of the violation.
  11. Competitors must always follow the directional instructions of the checkpoint personnel and track pickets. If participants have not arrived before the checkpoint closing time, they must exit the race according to the instructions.
  12. Participants are not allowed to litter along the route.
  13. Contestants shall not damage or harass any plants or animals.
  14. Contestants are not allowed to take banned or illegal drugs.
  15. Participants are responsible for the actions of their support staff. Participant support staff must follow all instructions from organizer staff and responsible personnel. If support staff violates regulations or engages in inappropriate behavior, participants may be punished or disqualified.
  16. Support personnel must comply with all instructions given by checkpoint staff, such as clearing space in the checkpoint area as requested by staff. The organizer is not responsible for the safety or whereabouts of support staff.
  17. Those who violate the above rules may be punished by additional time or disqualification. Whether and how to be punished is decided by the organizer at its sole discretion without appeal. 18. Participants should consider their own safety and the safety of others and should be always considerate of other trail users. Use extreme caution when crossing or running on sections of road. If other contestants are injured or unwell, they should lend a helping hand. Time lost by a runner to assist another runner who is injured or unwell will be deducted from his or her finishing time.
  18. The organizer reserves the right to amend the competition rules, routes and/or other arrangements at its discretion.
  19. Participants must provide true and accurate information to the organizer. Any intentional deception may invalidate a participant's registration. The organizer reserves the right to change and/or cancel the participant's qualifications for the competition and will not pay any compensation to the participant.

Penalty

Violations of any of the competition rules may result in time penalties or disqualification, depending on the severity.

Any penalties or disqualifications are subject to the final decision of the conference.

Here are some violation categories:

  • Not carrying any of the specified equipment
  • Taking shortcuts and/or not following the competition route of the conference
  • Littering by contestants and/or their support staff
  • Receive support outside the checkpoint.
  • Pre-hide and then use various supplies (including food, drinks and other auxiliary tools) on the track.
  • Running with non-runners
  • Taking public transport
  • Others run for you.
  • Obstruct and/or cause injury to other participants. Taking prohibited drugs
  • Changing or damaging race route signs
  • Damage or harass any plant or animal.
  • No bib number displayed.
  • Race continues after checkpoint is closed
  • Failure to comply with instructions of conference, picketing and emergency response staff and/or volunteers.
  • Insulting conference, picketing, emergency response staff and/or volunteers, and other hikers Give your bib number to someone else to use.
  • Using someone else’s bib number

Insurance

The conference includes personal accident insurance for participants.
The competition includes insurance as follows:
  • Maximum insured amount for accidental death and permanent disability MOP 200,000
  • Maximum accidental medical insurance coverage MOP 3,000

Force majeure

In the event of extremely bad weather, the event organizing committee will activate the circuit breaker mechanism and have the right to change the track or terminate the competition early. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or shorten an event for the following reasons:
  • * Adverse weather conditions
  • * Landslides, massive falls and wildfires on the race route
  • * Protests or route closures
  • * Force majeure, that is, events beyond the control of the organizer and circumstances that make it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the competition. Force majeure events include, but are not limited to, acts of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, insurrection, riot, strike, slowdown, lockout or unrest, blockage or impassability of roads or trails, outbreaks of disease, and acts of terrorism and threats.
  • * If this happens, the conference will not refund the registration fee.
