Founded in 1999, the The Great Wall International Marathon is an internationally renowned marathon held annually at the The Great Wall in Jizhou District, Tianjin, China. The Seoul Marathon, founded in 1931, is the oldest city marathon in Asia and the only race in South Korea to receive the World Athletics (WA) Platinum Label certification. Held annually in March, the race's full marathon route starts at the iconic Gwanghwamun Square, winds through downtown Seoul, and ends at Jamsil Sports Complex. The cool, pleasant early spring weather, combined with a flat, straight, and almost undulating course, has earned it global acclaim as "the easiest fast course to break a personal best (PB)." The history of the New Taipei City Wan Jin Shi Marathon dates back to the 2003 "Jinshan Marathon". The inaugural edition had its start‑and‑finish line at the Jinshan Youth Activity Center. It was a small‑scale local sporting event with only around 4,000 participants. Following years of brand development, it has grown into Taiwan’s only international‑level marathon accredited with the IAAF Silver Label by World Athletics (formerly the International Association of Athletics Federations).
