Mt. Fuji Marathon is an annual international event jointly hosted by Yamanashi Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan. The Sapporo Marathon began in 1976. It is the largest citizen half marathon for citizens in northern Japan and a representative sporting event in Sapporo. Held annually in autumn, it attracts up to 15,000 participants. Both the half-marathon and 10 km marathon are distances recognized by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF).

EVA Air Marathon is co-sponsored by the Road Running Association of the Republic of China, the Culture and Leisure Sports Association of the Republic of China and the EVA Air Marathon. Established in 1981, it has become one of the most popular road races in Asia, attracting both professional and amateur runners from around the world. The marathon takes place in autumn and features a picturesque course that highlights the city’s scenic beauty, including its stunning waterfront, modern architecture, and historical landmarks. Runners start and finish at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, running along the famous Yokohama Bay Bridge and passing through various neighborhoods and parks.
